We had originally thrown this ditty together to enter in a Halloween novelty song competition (we didn't win) but liked it so much that we just went with it; awards be damned.

I was drivin’ for a pizza parlor, makin’ a delivery
To a house on the outskirts of town.
It was the middle of the night
With a full moon shinin’ down.

While I was knockin’ on the door, it creaked slowly open, and
I was horrified to see
No one there was interested in pizza:
What they wanted was me.

There were red eyes and white fangs.
There were fur and claws.
There were stitches and neck bolts
And many sets of slavering jaws.

There can be no mistake: I’d managed to make
A life-endangering error.
I’d become the guest of honor
At the Pizza Party of Terror.

Well, I dropped that pizza and took to my heels
With the whole crowd right behind.
They were pantin’ and snarlin’ and growlin’
And scarin’ me out of my mind.

I jumped in the car, and I tore out of there,
Doin’ ‘bout a hundred and ten.
And I swore to myself that I’d
Never work a night shift again.
